Paul Kind has been a leader in the commercial and marketing functions of sport and media for more than 23 years and has been directly responsible for driving outstanding results and maximising profits.

Paul has lived the challenges and opportunities that come from working with one of the country’s leading sporting organisations and this extensive experience at the coalface of sport ensures his consultancy advice is founded in reality.

During his time at the NRL, he relaunched the brand and transformed the commercial structure, growing non-broadcast revenue from $30m to $110m. He delivered major event innovations including the All Stars, Auckland Nines and he transformed attendance and revenue for State of Origin that has seen Origin become Australia’s biggest sporting event.

Paul knows that sport matters to people, it can make a positive difference to people’s lives and to attain success in sport you must understand the joy and the sense of belonging it creates. This ability to understand what drives passion, combined with a proven track record of maximizing profit is rare.

In 2014 Paul was named one of the top 20 global innovators in sports by Sport Business International. for more than 23 years and has been directly responsible for driving outstanding results and maximising profits.


At twenty one years of age, Simon co-founded Spin Communications, the first of a new generation of agencies that delivered fully integrated campaigns. Spin grew to have over one hundred staff members and ran successfully for seventeen years prior to a trade sale. Spin was based in Sydney, Melbourne and New York, working with brands such as Coca-Cola, Nike, CUB, Xbox, Ebay and Microsoft.

Simon was a partner and director of Australian Fashion Week prior to its acquisition by IMG, a board director of the short film festival, Tropfest and co-founder of Brilliant Films – a TVC production company.

In July 2009, he co-founded Bashful. A creative agency that works with some of Australia and Asia’s leading brands including P&O cruises, Biozet Attack, Best & Less, Kennards Hire, News Corp, Wrangler (Asia), MasterCard, Sunglass Hut, Goldwell hair (International & Aust.), Zimmermann and Van Heusen (Aust and India). Bashful currently employs a team of thirty-five staff and is located in Sydney.

  • BrandData.com: A tool that lets you discover, compare and understand your brand’s social hotness and receive invaluable insight.
  • KIND Agency: Specializing in sport, entertainment and media. KIND works in events, broadcast, sponsorship and marketing working with Foxtel, Star entertainment group and TEG.
